About us
The Phoenix River Ranch has been owned by the Phoenix Family since 1999 and is set in colorful Colorado, surrounded by forests and mountains.
On our ranch powerful western horses are bred and trained.
We breed American Quarter Horses, Paint Horses, Asil Arabians and Pintabian. We also breed cattle for western sports.
We highly value careful training and welfare of our animals.
We train in (Freestyle) Reining, (Extreme) Trail, Cowboy Dressage, Cutting, Hunter Under Saddle, Western Pleasure, Pleasure Driving and Team Penning.
Our team consists of experienced riders and horse trainers, also a veterinarian is on site.
Philosophy
We would lie, when we would say, we don't use horses for our own selfishness.
Because we do it.
We use horses for our ego because we want to ride because we want to be spotted. And what if when you can't ride a that horse anymore or it don't want to be ridden?
Then it is worthless for us humans.
we appreciate the fact that an animal carries us on its back. It is not a matter of course.
Our horses are trained as stress-free as possible. They are also regularly checked by our vet and our horse physiotherapist.
In the discipline that makes our partner the most fun, in this one it will be trained. Also, a lot of ground work plays a big role in our training.
Our ranch provides the perfect habitat for the running animal horse. Our animals live in open stalls over the whole year. In case of bad weather and injury paddock boxes are available. There are also big foal boxes with paddock.
